The Medical Emergency Education Project strives to help alleviate health issues by equipping UC Riverside students, faculty, and staff, as well as the Inland Empire community, with the necessary resources for medical emergencies. We offer Basic Life Support and First Aid certification classes in an effort to increase the awareness and knowledge of emergency skills and techniques that could help save a life. Our organization grants the leadership opportunity to become an instructor to continue spreading the knowledge of Basic Life Support and First Aid. This not only helps students pursue potential routes to emergency medicine or emergency medical services but also help them apply the knowledge to serve underserved communities within the Inland Empire and wherever their future may take them! Our mission is to research, share, and apply evidence-based strategies to enhance physical and mental well-being. Journal Club – We analyze research articles, discuss key findings, and explore real-world applications. Each session, we present 1–2 articles from psychology, biology, or medicine (or any article related to physical or mental health). We also help students get involved in research labs. Socials – We host fun activities like board game night, giving members a chance to connect and unwind. Education Committee – Every other week, we create a slideshow for our Instagram page on a condition or disease related to sports or nutrition. We also plan to visit high schools in the Riverside Unified School District (RUSD) to present current research.

Muay Thai at UCR is an organization dedicated to the art of Muay Thai. Not only as a physical and mental endeavor but also an inclusive social setting where all are welcomed. This inclusivity also takes into account the diverse range of economic situations at UCR. Therefore, there are no dues or dress code requirements to join Muay Thai at UCR. Our other main priority is safety and personal individual needs. We all come from different backgrounds and different goals. Muay Thai at UCR will do our best to accommodate these differences.

Anyone is free to join regardless of what major you're in. There is no knowledge requirement or an expectation that you have taken any neuroscience classes at UCR. We hope we can provide you with a place to discuss our common interest as well as provide a more interactive and fun resource for learning about the brain. FAQ When do you meet? -- We meet every two weeks throughout the quarter from 7-8 pm with occasional socials or lab tours on off weeks. What do you do in your meetings? -- In our meetings, we discuss topics regarding the brain including brain structure, brain chemistry, and brain function as well as its applicability to fields such as psychology and child development.
