Everyone in the UCR Cadet Recruiting team shares the aspiration to one day serve as an Officer in the United States Army. Our goal is to spread awareness of the program to any Students at UCR that share our same aspirations. While there are many ways to become a U.S. Army Officer, ROTC is a method that allows Cadets to attend school and earn a degree while participating in the training necessary to one day commission. The work can be time consuming and weariness may certainly result, but the lessons learned, friendships, and accomplishments made can be invaluable for your life that lies ahead. It is important to note that ROTC at UCR is mostly done through California State University San Bernardino and Claremont McKenna College. This certainly serves as a means to meet people from many other schools around the Inland Empire including California Baptist University, Azusa Pacific University, Cal Poly Pomona, and many others. However, having a means of transportation can make life in the program much easier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4q6_sN46xQ

The purpose(s) of this organization shall be to establish an open space for female and gender nonconforming voices who are interested in the film industry. We aim to bring support, education, and a collective voice to women and gender minority filmmakers, through workshops, discussions of women in the industry, movie screenings, and offering production opportunities. We welcome anyone regardless of experience. Throughout our time working on student films at UCR, we have noticed a significant lack of women on film sets. This absence is not unique to UCR however, there is a systematic lack of representation and opportunity for women in film and television. Through sharing our experiences and knowledge we strive to create a safe space for individuals to feel heard and welcome in meetings, events, and productions. Our goals are to not only show our resilience in a male-dominated industry, but to achieve our ideas and establish a community of like-minded individuals to support each other throughout our careers. We want everyone to feel inspired and motivated to develop their projects and reach goals they haven’t dreamed of yet.
