Women in Computing at UCR

Women in Computing (WINC) is dedicated to empowering and supporting a network of individuals in tech at the University of California, Riverside, with a focus on women and marginalized genders. We believe that every individual, regardless of gender identity, should have equal access to opportunities to pursue a career in Computer Science. WINC strives to achieve this by offering inclusive and welcoming member events, educational technical workshops, mentorship from role models in university and industry, research opportunities, scholarships, and more. Our goal is to increase the retention rate of marginalized genders pursuing computing and to provide a safe space for anyone interested in a tech career. Our goal is to build a community of women programmers and provide a safe and empowering place for students to express themselves. We celebrate all programmers at UCR and encourage them to grow as students and future leaders in the computing fields. WinC is open to anyone: whether you're just looking to start coding or you have had multiple years in the industry, we'd love to have you!
