Our organization focuses on helping and educating children mostly in underserved communities to teach them the English language. We travel to Mexico and other places, also including the United States, to volunteer in many schools, orphanages, homes, etc. We make sure the children we teach feel that we care for them and are there for them whenever they need and not just view us as an "extra class" but as a place where they feel comfortable and distract themselves for a while. We value humility, respect, compassion and commitment on helping others.

Audeamus was started in 2007 at UC Riverside as a multidisciplinary honors journal for undergraduate students across the University of California (UC) system. Based at University Honors (UH) in UC Riverside, the journal started with the belief that students should be able to showcase any work that was of the highest merit, no matter what it was. There were many academic journals and literary magazines out there, but not as many places where anything could be published. From 2007 to 2015, Audeamus was an annual journal put together by UCR University Honors students, but containing the work of undergraduate students across the nine University of California schools. In 2016, Audeamus published its 10th edition and decided that with its 11th edition, it would become a national journal to be able to accept submissions from beyond just the UC system. The Audeamus journal publishes works of all mediums – from research papers to artwork and photography to musical scores – basically anything reproducible on paper. Audeamus is produced by UCR University Honors students of all disciplines and majors; the students do everything from research and advertisement, to journal design and submissions. Flipping through the pages of any issue, you can find an organic chemistry research paper right next to a literary analysis, and just down the table of contents, you might find some photography or a biology paper. The world is a fairly eclectic place, so why not our journal? That’s what our name means in Latin: Let us dare. Let us dare to publish a journal that is as varied as the world is.

We acknowledge that Gay, Trans and Queer people have been systematically marginalized from the Christian community and so together we dreamed up Belong as an answer to our community's isolation. This organization exists to show students on campus that the love of Jesus is for everyone. We joyously celebrate the fullness of everyone's complexity, nuances, and layered individuality. We believe that you don't have to change a thing about yourself to be loved by God. This is a queer centered space that practices and teaches Queer affirming theology. Allies and non-spiritual/religious people are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join if they are reflecting on these issues, recognizing that this is a queer centered space. If a student has ever felt left out, excluded or isolated from their faith for whatever reason we hope and earnestly work together to create a space of belonging, friendship, and community here at Belong.

Best Buddies was born in the fall of 1987, when Founder Anthony Kennedy Shriver observed the lack of opportunity for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to socialize with their peers without IDD. He recognized the power of one-to-one friendship to develop their self-esteem, improve their outlook on life, and increase their integration in society. A college student himself at Georgetown University, Shriver knew that his peers had the energy and commitment to positively transform their communities. His inspiration to bring both groups together created the Best Buddies concept. The college program provides an opportunity for college students to be matched in a one-to-one friendship with individuals who have IDD. Social experiences and relationships are a part of life; unfortunately, individuals with IDD have historically been excluded from many of the social opportunities that most people enjoy. The Best Buddies College program works to expand these opportunities through community involvement and friendship, offering people with IDD the chance to explore life in a new way. There are Best Buddies chapters like ours at other colleges and universities all over the country, all of which are part of Best Buddies International. As students, we are in a unique position to make a real change in our community by joining this growing movement of volunteers. You are not just committing to a club, but to a person. There are 9.3 million people with intellectual disabilities in the U.S. who have traditionally been segregated from society. Each pair commits to keep in touch at least once a week through phone calls, emails, or seeing each other at school. Buddy Pairs get together on their time and socialize twice a month. They also agree to attend Best Buddies meetings, activities, and fundraisers. Through participation in Best Buddies, people with and without disabilities are given the chance to explore new friendships and widen their social circles. Best Bu
