Belong

We acknowledge that Gay, Trans and Queer people have been systematically marginalized from the Christian community and so together we dreamed up Belong as an answer to our community's isolation. This organization exists to show students on campus that the love of Jesus is for everyone. We joyously celebrate the fullness of everyone's complexity, nuances, and layered individuality. We believe that you don't have to change a thing about yourself to be loved by God. This is a queer centered space that practices and teaches Queer affirming theology. Allies and non-spiritual/religious people are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join if they are reflecting on these issues, recognizing that this is a queer centered space. If a student has ever felt left out, excluded or isolated from their faith for whatever reason we hope and earnestly work together to create a space of belonging, friendship, and community here at Belong.
