Welcome! We are the Student Disability Union at UCR! Our purpose is to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging group on campus that empowers UCR's disabled community and promotes acceptance through advocacy and education. We hold events that actively collaborate with students and other diverse organizations/clubs to bring the disabled student population together to establish a community, encourage discussion, and participate in fun socials. The ultimate goal is to build relationships, cultivate campus connections, and give a collective voice to an underrepresented and misunderstood minority. ALL UCR students, with or without disabilities, are welcome to participate! We organize events/activities on campus that include: Socials (individuals can chat and chill while participating in fun-themed activities) Ability Ball (a lively evening showcasing the talents of both individuals with or without disabilities) Empower Your Peers Groups (caring and empowering groups of different types of disabilities/disorders/illnesses conversing on personal experiences and learning mental health exercises. Ex. Mobility, Epilepsy, Diabetes, ADD/ADHD etc.) Event and meeting details will be shared through our instagram: @sdu_ucr
