Little Explorers In N'terdisciplinary Sciences To Encourage INspiration

Little EINSTEINs is an outreach group aimed at K-5 classrooms within Riverside Unified School District. Our organization visits these classrooms, either virtually or in-person, and gives a short presentation on a STEM-related topic. After this presentation we break the classroom up into groups led by a Little EINSTEINs volunteer. Together they perform a fun experiment while learning the science behind it. Our overall structure consists of four components: warm-up, mini-lesson, experiment/demonstration, and review. Our goal is to create engaging activities in an effort to foster more positive attitudes toward STEM curriculum and encourage students to ultimately pursue these fields when entering higher education.
