It was founded in 1929 for graduate and undergraduate students who strive to maintain academic excellence and advance the science of Psychology. Psi Chi is a purely academic honors society based on academic merit and scholastic achievement. Psi Chi is not a fraternity or sorority. We are the primary psychology organization on campus and we provide numerous opportunities for professional development, networking, and leadership experience through our general meetings, workshops, socials, and volunteering events throughout the year. Psi Chi is known for hosting the Fall Lab Fair, the new Psychology Winter Camp, and R’PSYC Undergraduate Research Conference, which are some of the ways we prepare our members to succeed in research, graduate school, and future careers. If you want to make new friends with similar academic and professional interests, Psi Chi is the right place for you to find a safe and supportive community at UCR! The scholarship of all Psi Chi members is valued. An official membership card and certificate are awarded to each member. Medals, honor cords, and stoles can be purchased to wear at graduation. ____________________________ Dr. Ditta and Dr. Hendley , professors in the area of Psychology, are the faculty advisors. They provide many useful resources for students preparing for graduate school and exploring opportunities in psychology on campus. Our Psi Chi chapter hosts many events to better equip students for success.
