The Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student Association (MSME GSA) is a student-led organization dedicated to fostering a strong academic, professional, and social community among graduate students within the fields of Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering. Our mission is to support the personal and professional development of our members through a variety of initiatives, including research symposia, career development workshops, networking events, and social gatherings. MSME GSA serves as a platform for graduate students to connect with peers, faculty, alumni, and industry professionals, while also acting as a collective voice to advocate for student interests within the department and the broader university community. By promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, leadership opportunities, and community engagement, MSME GSA strives to enrich the graduate experience and empower students to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits.
