Black Student Union

The purpose(s) of this organization shall be to provide a space for all students to gain personal knowledge and information about African/African American/Black populations in an effort to help bring down the cultural barriers and stereotypes that have plagued the African/African American/Black minority for centuries, as well as to foster a sense of community. BSU aspires to do this through programming, outreach, meetings, events, and any other means to ensure that all who desire the information shall receive it. In the context of the University of California, Riverside community as well as the greater Inland Empire, BSU serves to be an all-inclusive outlet in which any people who desire to share knowledge and enrich our mission statement. BSU will provide whatever resources necessary to assist other cultural groups within the University. The outlying community will also receive whatever resources necessary to help expand and enrich the mission statement.
