The Science Policy GSA bridges the gap between scientists and the general public, allowing STEM students to see their importance in the policy process. We practice communication skills, advocate for science, promote scientific collaboration, and create opportunities for students to connect with elected officials. We also educate students on the importance of the political process with respect to science and technology policy. We strive to allow students to see that their voice, vote, and expertise matter in the community, both local and national, and not just in academia. We are the sister organization to the Science to Policy Program. To find out more visit s2p.ucr.edu
