Leadership in Action Certificate

The certificate is broken up into 3 levels of leadership - the Individual, the Group, and the Society. Each level has its own requirements. You must complete all requirements within 2 academic years (i.e. Fall 2018 - Spring 2020). Please see all requirements below: The Individual Complete the Social Change Model Seminar The seminar is a 2 hour workshop—the first seminar will be scheduled for late-Fall, early Winter quarter. You will be emailed with options when scheduled. Complete 5 additional workshops (from pre-approved list) PLEASE SEE THE LIST BELOW The Group Complete 1 leadership series Options Include: Cultural Awareness Project Bridge the Gap The Society Attend the Inspiring R’ Leaders Conference Saturday, Feb. 2 nd , 2019 (go.ucr.edu/leadership) Complete 50 hours of community service You are welcomed to identify your own service opportunities, or you can pick from our weekly/bi-weekly list. As the quarter goes on, we will email all certificate participants a list of service opportunities around Riverside and the greater Inland Empire. PRE-APPROVED WORKSHOPS Pre-Approved Workshops for the Individual section. You must complete 5 workshops from this list - the list is updated throughout the quarter so that you have options: Offered by the Student Org Team at Student Life (do not need to be a member in an org to attend) Self-Care for Leaders, 4/23, 4pm, HUB 229 Offered by the Academic Resource Center (ARC).
